New Happenings

We have officially been serving here in Uganda for one full year! Sarah and the boys finished their very first year of home school. Troy recorded the entire 5 month Institute, with just a few sessions to re-record. We are excited to let you know that phase 2 of this recording project requires us to come home. We’ve discovered we are in over our heads with this project and we need a new computer and better power and internet source to complete what we set out to accomplish. We will see many of you between the months of October and December as we fly home to Alaska and slowly make our way south to Colorado. This comes a bit unexpectedly, but it’s the only way we can finish what we started.

Over the next 2 months, we will continue to gather video footage to be completed while we are in the U.S. We look forward to recording more here at Kasana Children Center, going back out to Musana Camps and also to Kobwin Children Center to gather more footage for New Hope.

Once these projects are completed, that will also complete our time with New Hope Uganda. We have valued our time here, loved the people and seen clearly that God placed us in the lives of certain families and individuals for this particular season. After much prayer and seeking the advice of leadership here at New Hope, we have peace about leaving and continuing the work from the US until end of March. We ask that you continue to support us through March while we are working for New Hope from Alaska and Colorado. We are excited to complete our work for New Hope as the Institute project will reach so many more people with the transforming message of the Gospel.

Pray with us:

  • We need one time gifts to cover our airfare to the US and travel expenses
  • Our NH  family is still in transition with the parents having returned to the family. Pray for continued healing for both the parents and the children and that God would clearly lead and bring health to all involved
  • Ammon’s family continues to adjust to life without a father figure. His aunt is looking for work. Please pray that all their needs are met physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Praise God they grieve with the hope of Christ!
  • We have many transitions ahead of us. Please pray that we would have wisdom as parents to ease the transition as best we can for our children and that good-byes won’t be too hard on their hearts or the hearts of others whom we’ve come to know and love deeply.
